Systems Analyst

Seattle, WA, USA | Full-time | Partially remote


Evolve Mortgage has an immediate need for System Analyst with experience in the Mortgage Industry. This is a role that combines hard skills like programming with soft skills like communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving. Candidates need a well-rounded background to balance the line between IT and the business.  The right person will act as a liaison and bridge the knowledge gap between our Clients/Operations and our Developers and provide succinct solutions. 


  1. Client or Platform Integration
    1. Interpret business needs into a solution the development team understands.
    2. Consults with the client and compliance areas to define the problem, provides insights into what happened and when
    3. The analyst is involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems.
    4. The analyst interacts with the clients, compliance, and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs.
    5. Performs data mapping, both custom integrations and MISMO standard data integrations
  2. Generating Requirements from Operations and Clients for Developers
    1. Data reporting, analytics, and support of projects. Performs compilation, analysis, and reporting of data
    2. Gathering/Analyzing/Reviewing requests from the Client/Business/Compliance
    3. Writing business requirements for the issues tracked in JIRA
    4. The analyst works with the Client/Business/Compliance to identify opportunities for improvement in various systems
    5. The analyst gathers documents and analyzes client needs and requirements in a clear and concise manner to provide a clear definition of application functionality.
    6. Presenting design mock-ups/proposals to clients and internal management teams.
  • Business Process Documentation and Support
    1. Analyzing/problem solving support issues for live clients
    2. Identify, document and communicate process improvements via internal and external alerts, including ensuring applicable Policies, Procedures, Process Maps and Process Guides are updated
    3. The analyst solves system problems and, as needed, designs technical solutions
    4. Collaborating with the front-line support to ensure all support requests addressed
  1. Testing Development and Sprint Releases
    1. Testing the final product from the developer in stage
    2. Regression testing deployments in pre-production and production environments
    3. QA testing - writes and executes thorough test plans
    4. Follow the sprint release schedule to ensure all tickets meet the sprint deadline
    5. Giving the end user ability to test the changes and provide feedback before approval.
  2. Communication
    1. Explaining solutions, writing the requirements, and interacting with the client
    2. Communicate issues timely and work with internal/external client and manager to resolve issue or identify impacts.
    3. Draft user release notes and accompanying documentation.
    4. Training end user

  • 4-year degree in field of business or IT or work experience equivalent


  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years reporting and/or data management experience
  • Strong Mortgage industry knowledge 
  • Proficient in reporting; design, building/ coding, automation, test/control measurement, pre/post analytics
  • Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Development Process, Software Requirements, Analyzing Information, Teamwork, Software Maintenance, Written Communication, Promoting Process Improvement.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of business solutions, such as Document Management, CRMs, Business Web Technology etc.
  • Ability to document and implement efficient processes and practices throughout IT
  • Ability to manage multiple processes and projects concurrently in fast paced environment with continual changes in priority
  • Can work independently, collaboratively and self-motivated working in a virtual environment.

  • Proficient and exceptional skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUPs, etc.), MS Word, and JIRA
  • Proficient in using Internet Explorer and the ability to navigate web-based applications with minimal direction
  • Able to envision new solutions from very little business requirement details and create technical design mock-ups using a variety of tools (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Understanding and proficiency in solution testing through the various test phases: Stage, UAT and Production Validation Testing.
  • Understanding of the Mortgage, Financial Services or Real Estate industry.
  • Understanding of Agile/Rapid Development Methodology.
